Stricker won a pair of Canadian Tour titles in the early 1990s, has four PGA TOUR victories, and has been a key member of two President's Cup teams. Appleby owns eight PGA TOUR titles including three consecutive Mercedes Championships - and has been a member of four President's Cup teams. He also captured the prestigious 2001 Holden Australian Open.

Tour alumni have also won tournaments on the European, South African, Asian, Japanese, and Australasian pro golf tours. As of January 2009, Canadian Tour alumni have won 93 PGA TOUR titles and over US$355 million.

The winner of the Order of Merit and the runner-up receive exemptions into the second stage of PGA TOUR Qualifying School.

The "It's Our Time" Campaign

The Board of Directors of the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club was pleased to announce that the charitable partner for both the 2009 & 2010 Canadian Tour Championships would be the Niagara Health System's "It's Our Time" Campaign.

The "It's Our Time" Campaign is dedicated to raising funds for the building of Niagara's new hospital and more specifically, the Walker Family Cancer Centre. A significant portion of the proceeds from hosting the 2009 & 2010 Canadian Tour Championship were donated to this cause.
